Invite Workers via QR Code

We’re excited to announce that you can now create and print QR codes from Wrapbook that workers can scan to onboard to a project. Posting a QR code on set reminds workers to onboard before beginning work and streamlines onboarding by eliminating the need for workers to search in their inboxes for a project invite email.

To create your first QR code click People from the left-hand navigation and click Invite via QR. For additional information, check out our help center article.

Assign Deal Points to Workers During Onboarding

Every worker is unique. That’s why we’re excited to announce that you can assign deal points such as COVID stipends, kit/box rentals, per diems, mileage, and more to workers during onboarding. These deal points appear when workers accept project invites, in startwork with a new ‘Worker Allowances’ smartfield, and on timecards for easy visibility.

Assign deal points to:

  • Capture each worker's unique compensation effortlessly
  • Streamline onboarding by having workers agree to their full compensation upfront
  • Track deal points throughout the production lifecycle

Click the Add allowance button on the worker invite page to start assigning deal points.

Helping you stay compliant with minimum wage guidelines at the state, city, and county levels

Now, each time you run payroll, Wrapbook makes it easy to ensure your employees and loan-outs are being paid at or above the minimum wage for their selected location.

You can:

  • Identify timecards below minimum wage when running payroll—receive warnings if a timecard with multiple locations is set to pay an employee or loan-out below any relevant minimum wage.

  • Take action— identify timecards assigned a rate below the minimum wage for their respective locations by using the Issue filter or by clicking View Timecards.

A few reminders to wrap up 2023

Here are three things you can do to make the rest of 2023 as smooth as possible:

-> Plan for Holiday Bank Closures.

Banks will be closed on Monday, December 25th (Christmas Day) and Monday, January 1st (New Year's Day). If your planned payroll date falls on either of these dates, please be sure to process it on the preceding business day.

-> Request reversals for any Q4 payrolls

If you need to request a reversal for any payroll run in Q4 (for payroll dates between 10/1/23 - 12/31/23), you must do so before 5pm ET on Thursday, January 4th, 2024.

-> Double-check your worker classifications

Make sure your workers are classified correctly as employees, loan-outs, or contractors. The deadline to update classifications is 5pm ET on Thursday, January 4th, 2024. If you find a worker that is misclassified, please reach out to Wrapbook Support as soon as possible.

Find more year-end resources at help.wrapbook.com ↗

Please note: If we receive reversal requests or requests to update worker classifications after January 4th, 2024, we will work with you to resolve it in February 2024.
